Higher Level Teaching Assistant Grade 7 £29,093 - £32,654 pro rata Full Time, Term Time Only 2 Weeks Permanent Required as soon as possible The Woodlands EHN Team are seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant within their Orchard Provision based at Leadgate to provide support to pupils in a small group who are medically too unwell to attend school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To support a child’s education and wellbeing until they are well enough to reintegrate to their school. The successful candidate must be: • Have a significant amount of experience • Have experience in leading and working together in a team. • Be creative, enthusiastic practitioner who brings their own style and skills to support the excellent work developed in our school. • Be a caring and understanding person who enjoys working with children and who is committed to supporting high standards and enjoyment of learning. • Have the ability to work in a close team to achieve the best for our children and school community. Essential Experience: Supporting and covering across both Key stage 3 and 4 The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. The post available will be based at The Orchard (Leadgate) but may be required to work across The Woodlands. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
