School Inclusion Centre Manager – Willenhall (Walsall) | Salary £29,000-£40,000 (Actual £32,360-£44,635 FTE) | Permanent, term‑time only (41 weeks) | 8:00am‑4:30pm | Benefits included.
Role Details
The role is full‑time, permanent, 40 hours per week, with a minimum of 11 weeks holiday. Responsibilities include leading a small team, embedding behaviour systems, providing pupil support, ensuring a safe and positive environment, and coordinating the centre’s daily operation.
Responsibilities
* Lead, coordinate and continually develop the Inclusion Centre to ensure high‑quality provision.
* Manage, support and motivate the team to deliver consistent, impactful practice.
* Drive improvements in pupil attendance, engagement, behaviour and overall outcomes.
* Oversee behaviour policies, systems and escalation processes.
* Support pupils through targeted group and 1:1 mentoring, ensuring smooth transitions back into mainstream or Post‑16 destinations.
* Build strong relationships with parents, carers, school leaders and external agencies.
* Use data and impact analytics to monitor progress and inform decision‑making.
* Share best practice across Think for the Future and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
* Lead safeguarding within the centre as the Centre Safeguarding Lead.
Safeguarding Lead Responsibilities
* Act as the main point of contact for safeguarding concerns.
* Liaise with the school DSL and external professionals.
* Keep safeguarding records accurate, secure and up to date.
* Promote a culture where pupil voice is heard and valued.
* Support colleagues to feel confident in safeguarding practice.
* Ensure strong information‑sharing processes.
* Undertake ongoing safeguarding training.
Qualifications
* Confident leader with strong communication skills.
* Direct, in‑school experience.
* Adaptable, resilient and solution‑focused.
* Can manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively.
* Strong admin, organisation and written communication skills.
* Can build positive relationships quickly with pupils, parents and staff.
* Passionate about transforming the lives of young people.
* Thrives in dynamic, sometimes challenging environments.
* Can manage and inspire a diverse team.

* Experience managing youth, education or behaviour settings.
