With up to 200 indoor and outdoor activities available, Center Parcs is the perfect place for families to try something new together. The Leisure team plays a key role in ensuring families feel confident, safe and happy during their activity, whatever their age or ability. There are many opportunities in the Leisure team, and our offering of activities continues to grow. From donning an eye patch in Pirate and Princess Adventure, to whizzing around a track in Quad Bike Safari or scaling the forest canopy in Aerial Adventure, our focus is on delivering a quality experience that guests will remember, whether it’s their first or fiftieth time.
Role: Pottery Assistant (Fixed-Term)
Location: Center Parcs Whinfell Forest
The Pottery Studio provides activities / sessions for both adults and children. In this role, you will be responsible for offering guidance and support on ceramic painting whilst providing a safe and efficient environment for our guests. Excellent customer service skills are required as you will ensure the guests\' requirements are always met and naturally seek out opportunities to exceed their expectations. The bustling environment requires sustainable energy and enthusiasm along with the ability to multitask and oversee busy activities. Other responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidiness and ensuring the large volume of pots are glazed to agreed timescales.
Hours of Work
This is a fixed-term contract until 2 January 2026. We have flexible contracts available with varying hours per 4-week period. Shift times vary from 8:30am – 5:30pm, including weekends. Options available:
* 64 hours per 4-week period
* 96 hours per 4-week period
Please state your desired contracted hours from the options above under the suitability section of your application form. As our village is open 365 days a year, your working hours will include public/bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis.
About You
Essential requirements:
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and guests
* Strong communication skills
* Naturally cheerful disposition
Desirable requirements:
* Knowledge and understanding of kilns (including loading, unloading and operation)
* Experience of working within the leisure industry
* Previous pottery experience with a working knowledge of current ceramic techniques
