This role will further develop and lead the execution of the EMEA sharpened commercial strategy to achieve WaterWipes’ sustainable growth (NSV & Profit) ambitions in the context of our strategic plan specific to UK&I. The Commercial Director will assume responsibilities of the UK&I business across the traditional retailers. The Commercial Director is expected to develop a highly interactive and collaborative working relation with Brand Acceleration team, Market Strategy and Planning and Amazon Commercial team. Role Responsibilities Leadership Lead a team of Account Manager to develop existing business as well as new revenue streams in line with our corporate strategy of beyond baby. Driving our relations to best in class and expanding into growing channels across the UKI, while working with the brand acceleration team to increase pressure & relevance through brand activities to build awareness and penetration of the WaterWipes brand Develop the team of account managers, setting stretch targets and personal development plans Lead the UKI team to ensure we develop best in JBPs with our key customers to ensure we drive profitable growth Work closely with the brand acceleration team and category & insights teams to plan and implement activities that lead to increased category penetration and brand share in the relevant channels. Role Deliverables Be accountable for net sales and profitability targets by closely managing pricing and negotiating JBPs Develop, direct, and oversee appropriate Sales strategy to optimize the company’s objectives. Prepare, direct, and develop mid–term sales forecast (e.g. three-year plan). Own the local P&L deliver Growth Planning, budgeting and forecasting together with the I&R as well as the brand acceleration and finance teams. Regular weekly & monthly reporting on performance against plan Manage & report on Key metrics dashboard to track progress weekly Establish and/or manage customer & distributor specific scorecards to monitor sales progress and identify and close sales gaps Develop and execute business plans to deliver sales results, including maximized volume potential, increased merchandising effectiveness, growth of product group(s), and brand share Assess market and competitor situation as an on-going action Evaluate market trends, competitive moves, and changes in rank – adjust account strategies / field plans accordingly. Leverage business analytics to influence customer utilizing internal/customer business systems to manage and maximize plans Develop the team build a best in class high performing team Drive our ESG strategy and find key UK customer to partner with and bring to life Experience & Qualifications: Demonstrating the ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, project team members and management leaders, the role holder will be well versed in making key tactical decisions and will have sound experience in strategic planning processes and team leadership. Exposure to working in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, organisation and passionate about building strong trust-based relationships with customers and distributors will also be key drivers. Substantial understanding and knowledge of UKI market Strong understanding of relevant FMCG grocery retailers Prior experience in hiring, training, and developing commercial team members Relevant third level education in Commerce/Business or similar Proven track record in exceeding sales targets and objectives in a business with ambitious growth aspirations Excellent communication, time management, organization and presentation skills Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills Versatile, self-motivated and results driven Flexibility to travel (role has expected travel of c.30%) Competencies to perform the role: Accountability – Delivers on commitments in a timely way.
