Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner within psychological services ( prescribing qualification not required). We have a 6 month fixed-term or secondment opportunity for an ANP. Part time for longer duration would be considered. The successful candidate will join our Bipolar Service to assess for and deliver psychological interventions online and face-to-face. Training will be provided. The post covers Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust secondary care community services.
We are looking for a mental health nurse with current NMC registration and experience working at Band 6 in community mental health services. You should have an interest and experience of delivering psychosocial interventions for people with a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder and/or Psychosis such as group, individual, family interventions or relapse prevention. Candidates should have a commitment to working with psychological principles involved in the Mood on Track programme.The successful applicant will be able to work to a high standard both autonomously and closely with others in a small team. They will liaise with other teams to deliver high quality mental health care within diverse inner city catchment areas where there is high demand on services. For this role excellent communication skills and the ability to form effective therapuetic and working relationships is essential.
Main duties of the job
Specific duties will depend on experience and working hours but may include:
* Refferal triage
* Assessment for Mood on Track
* Co facilitating a support group
* Co Facilitating Mood on Track Intervention
* Individual staying well work (early signs interventions)
* Risk assessment and management
* Multi disciplinary team meetings
You will be responsible for providing assessment and outcomes based intervention for service users. Some experience of group or individual therapuetic or relapse prevention work will therefore be helpful .
You will be responsible for identifying need and best course of advice, support or intervention.
You will be responsible for promoting psychosocial wellbeing by identifying and then supporting pathways for service users and carers.
Crucial to this role will be your ability to ensure robust communication across BSMHFT and primary care, in accordance with each individual service users needs, by providing support and advice to all colleagues.
