Propulsion Efficiency Junior Engineer - 36320368 - £27.30/hr umbrella rate
The Propulsion Efficiency Engineer is responsible for supporting Lead Engineers and the Chapter Leader with data analysis, summaries, and judgment to support the delivery of Propulsion Efficiency Attributes and Features across various vehicle architectures and powertrains.
We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team, with a focus on ICE, MHEV, and PHEV programs. The successful candidate will work on the continuous development and yearly updates of vehicle lineups with combustion engines, supporting Lead Engineers in delivering Propulsion Efficiency. The role will mainly focus on Fuel Economy delivery in markets such as Japan, Gulf States, Mexico, Brazil, and other overseas countries with complex and specific regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess good data analysis and reporting skills, be able to read and understand automotive regulations as required, and demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt quickly under tight deadlines to support the timely delivery of Fuel Economy and Hybrid Range properties across various markets and products.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Understanding of the physics behind vehicle efficiency, cycle energy demand, and PHEV electric range, through academic knowledge or direct work experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of requirements and standards reading, interpretation, and documentation.
* Degree qualification.
* Full UK Driving Licence and ability to organize own travel.
