Overview
OHanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd is recruiting a permanent Finance Assistant in Newry, reporting to the Finance Manager. The company is a long-established Electrical & Building Contractor with over 40 years of experience in Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Construction across Ireland & UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Matching, processing and paying supplier POs, PODs and invoices on Sage
* Maintain allocated purchase ledger accounts on Sage
* Credit/debit card processing and reconciliations
* Maintain monthly aged creditors report and trade creditors
* Quarterly supplier statement reconciliations
* Process UK CIS and ROI RCT based subcontractor payments including completion of statutory government returns (VAT, RCT & CIS)
* Monthly bank reconciliations
* Processing of payroll (UK & ROI) including pension processing and employee expenses
* LOSC processing/project costing (UK & ROI)
* Work closely within the Finance Team and Finance Manager on key financial reporting
* Develop in-house efficiencies, process improvement, reporting systems and internal controls/procedures
* Support reception and other team members
* Any other tasks as necessary
Essential Experience
* A minimum of 2 years experience within a busy Finance Department role
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
* Sage Purchase Ledger experience (desirable)
