Shift times: Monday – Friday (Unit is open 7am- 8.30pm andflexibility isrequired during these hours)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Nurse to join Daycase atThe Wellington Hospital in St Johns Wood, London (NW8 7JA).
Our Day Surgery Unit, which consists of 10 private rooms, opens from 6.30am and closes between 8-10pm,receiving on average 20 admissions over the course of the day.
We handle a variety of surgical procedures which include;gynaecology, urology, breast,orthopaedic, medical, ENT, radiology and vascular. Being aclose knitand hardworking team, we are very proud of the level of customer service and care we providetoourpatients,which is demonstrated in our patient feedback.
As the Staff Nurse, working within our Day Case unit, you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care whilst working within a multidisciplinary team, supervising and directing junior staff and also temporary staff. You’lldemonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable forownactions and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures and research based care and other practice development initiatives.

Skills & Experience
1. NMC Registration and PREP requirements
2. Post-graduate experience of a broad range of surgical procedures
3. Experiencedin extendedroles such as IV cannulation& phlebotomy
4. Immediate life support
