About the Role
As a Library & Digital Support Officer you will be the public face of the service, helping customers with book choices, promoting digital services and supporting their use, and leading interactive activities such as crafts, story and rhyme sessions. You will also work with partners across the authority—including Communities, Public Health and Schools—to deliver exciting projects and support more traditional customer service appointments for other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with book recommendations and digital service guidance.
- Run crafts, storytelling and other interactive activities for all ages.
- Collaborate with cross‑department partners to deliver community projects.
- Conduct customer service appointments on behalf of other council departments.
- Provide support and guidance to users with new digital tools.
- Adapt work between libraries as required and maintain flexibility.
