The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Advisers and be responsible for supporting the end-to-end client journey through a combination of administration and paraplanning duties.
Administration Responsibilities
* Answering incoming calls and dealing with client and provider queries.
* Processing incoming and outgoing post.
* Scanning and logging Letters of Authority (LOAs) onto the LOA tracker.
* Requesting information from providers via email and post.
* Chasing outstanding policy information with providers.
* Maintaining and updating the LOA tracker.
* Preparing and distributing monthly client valuations.
Paraplanning Responsibilities
* Working closely with a dedicated Adviser and attending daily case update meetings.
* Liaising with clients via telephone, email and post when required.
* Conducting research to support new business recommendations.
* Drafting suitability reports, cover letters, one-page summaries and other client-facing documentation.
* Preparing and pre-populating documentation for client review meetings.
* Updating client records and fact-find information on Intelligent Office (iO).
* Ensuring all client documentation is scanned, categorised and stored accurately.
* Attending client meetings when required.
Skills & Experience
* Honest, reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity at all times.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong telephone manner and client‑facing skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, providers and colleagues.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Committed to professional development and completing industry examinations.
* Level 4 Diploma qualified (or actively working towards qualification).
