Tax Manager
An experienced and proactive Tax Manager is sought to join a growing tax team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, family-run businesses, and private individuals.
In addition to preparing tax returns, the role involves providing high-quality, holistic tax advice within a dynamic environment. The Tax Manager will deliver a high standard of service and demonstrate an understanding of the impact of taxation across Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, and Inheritance Tax.
As part of the senior management team, the postholder will contribute to the delivery of the business plan and support the development of colleagues.

Responsibilities
Client Management
Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients efficiently.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through high-quality customer service.
Advise clients on all aspects of tax compliance and tax planning.
Identify tax planning opportunities and provide commercially sound solutions.
Tax Compliance
Prepare approximately 750 annual tax returns, including Personal Tax, Partnership Tax, and Capital Gains Tax returns.
Undertake tax calculations and review clients' overall tax positions.
Ensure all returns are submitted accurately and on time.
Manage HMRC enquiries and correspondence where required.
Tax Advisory
Provide advice on areas such as business restructuring, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning, share schemes, and property taxation.
Support senior leadership on complex tax planning projects.
Candidate Profile
Minimum of 7 years' experience in a UK accountancy practice preferred.
ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified, or equivalent practice experience.
Strong working knowledge of UK corporate and personal taxation.
Experience managing a diverse client portfolio.
Full UK driving licence required (travel to clients or other offices may be necessary).
