We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Ware, Hertfordshire for a Locum Head Veterinary Nurse to provide maternity leave cover for 6 to 12 months on a fixed term basis.
The practice is looking for an empathetic and ambitious RVN who has good experience working in a small animal practice. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the wider team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence to provide the gold standard of care to the practices loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. The practice has a good surgical and medical caseload so you will be able to fully utilise your skills. Your main duties will involve training student nurses, managing the day-to-day running of the practice, clinical coaching, nurse clinics, assisting in the operating theatre, and consulting.
The role is full time for 40 hours per week, along with 1 in 6 full weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
