The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a knowledgeable and student-focused HE Co-ordinator – Student Support, Wellbeing & Inclusion to join our Higher Education team. This exciting role involves coordinating inclusive support for Higher Education students, with a particular focus on students with disabilities and those eligible for Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs). You will also lead a dedicated team of Disability Specialists to ensure our students receive high-quality, timely, and personalised support.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As SSWI HE Co-ordinator, you will be instrumental in supporting student inclusion and academic success across our HE provision. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist advice and managing a complex caseload of HE students requiring disability-related support.
* Coordinating the delivery of Disabled Students’ Allowances and Non-Medical Helper (NMH) support.
* Ensuring effective implementation of reasonable adjustments and inclusive practices across the curriculum.
* Monitoring student progress and implementing early, targeted interventions where needed.
* Line-managing a team of Disability Specialists, overseeing performance, development, and service delivery.
* Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders including curriculum teams, funding bodies, and medical professionals.
* Tracking data and reporting on student support, DSA funding, and NMH provision.
