About the team and the role
Our Brand Marketing team is here to grow love for our brand-boosting awareness and helping more people see us as the go-to for all things home. Whether it’s encouraging our lovely existing customers to pop back in more often, or welcoming new faces to discover what we’re all about, we do it all under our brand platform: 'The Home of Homes.'
Sitting within the wider Brand Communications team (which includes PR, Influencer Marketing and Advertising), the organic social team brings our brand to life on platforms where our customers spend their time-Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Facebook. Creating content that’s engaging, watchable, shareable, and full of our personality.
As a team, we work closely with the Commercial, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing departments to ensure we promote the right products at the right times in the right channels and work with our Community team to spotlight how we as a business can give back through our charity and sustainability initiatives.
The Senior Social Media Executive will be a driven, proactive, and creative professional who is integral to the day‑to‑day running of our social media channels, as well as the creation of best‑in‑class social media content.
The ideal candidate will be a social media native with a sound understanding of our key social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok) and their KPIs, a strong interest in wider social media channels and will have the time management and creative skills to produce and publish content which is on brand, on brief and brings joy to our audiences.
Managing workflows, weekly plans, scheduling tools and writing briefs, you will be a brilliant communicator with a keen interest in production, working with a wealth of different teams (including PR, Studio, Planning and Design) to create content which beats benchmarks on our channels and is delivered impeccably.
With particular interest in short‑form video and proven experience with video production, you’ll be our in‑team expert on all things TikTok, helping us grow the channel whilst working alongside the Social Media and Studio teams to hone your video production skills too.
In addition to BAU, you’ll have a knack for project management, producing content for various campaigns from product launches to charity events, generating ideas, attending shoots and evaluating success. Regular reporting is also key to the role, helping the team to improve performance and share insights with the wider business.
This hybrid role offers flexibility, with the option to be based in either our Leicester office or our London office.
What you'll be doing
* Manage the successful day‑day production and publishing of content on our social media channels with the help of the Social Media Assistant.
* Support the Senior Social Media Manager with the management and upkeep of the social media planner.
* Manage rolling social media creative briefs for our copy and design team as well as shoot briefs with the support of the wider social team.
* Plan, manage and analyse end‑to‑end campaigns on our social channels, producing content which fits the brief. Projects include everything from new product launches to seasonal events like Halloween and community‑led initiatives like Pride or our Delivering Joy campaign.
* Support the Social Media Manager in the production of best‑in‑class content for our social media channels with a particular emphasis on short‑form video production. Foster excellent relationships with our studio and creative teams as well as external contacts to make this happen.
* Act as the in‑team expert for TikTok, creating content for the channel which beats benchmarks and helps it grow. Work closely with our store and community teams to help brief and leverage content from staff and store accounts to drive added value and help align plans.
* Regularly report on social activity to help share learnings with the wider business. Be comfortable presenting findings to a variety of stakeholders and in a variety of formats.
* Act as a mentor to the Social Media Assistant, imparting knowledge and acting as a guide to help them flourish within the team.
* Have a strong interest in Creator/ Influencer marketing, working collaboratively with the PR & Influencer team to maximise on Influencer activity, managing Creator and gifted partnerships where relevant.
* Build brilliant relationships across the business to help share and supply our content where relevant for other channels to use including CRM, Paid Social etc.
* Assist the wider team with processing invoices and managing budgets.
* Have an interest in Paid Social/ Boosting, working with our internal paid social team and the Senior Social Media Manager as required to help our content work harder and beat our social benchmarks.

* Platform confident: You know your way around Instagram, TikTok and Facebook and an interest in trends. You have experience of collaborating and launching social media campaigns, proven experience managing content plans and publishing social content and are able to talk confidently about social media in presentations to stakeholders.

Desirable skills
* Experience shooting content and managing video editing using tools such as Premiere Pro, FinalCutor InShot.

* Exposure to boosted posts/ Paid Social.
