Overview
You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis of fire and security systems across commercial and domestic sites. The role requires a professional, customer-focused individual who can work independently while contributing positively to a growing team.
Responsibilities
* Install, service, maintain and fault-find fire and security systems
* Work on intruder alarms, fire alarm systems, CCTV and access control
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits
* Respond to reactive call-outs and system faults when required
* Complete all relevant job documentation accurately and on time
* Ensure all work is carried out in line with current standards, regulations and company procedures
* Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
* Participate in an on-call rota (where applicable)
* Liaise with office staff, engineers and management to ensure smooth delivery of work
* Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in good condition
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a Fire & Security Engineer role or similar
* Knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Full UK driving licence
* Good communication and customer service skills
* FIA, ECS/CSCS or manufacturer training
* Experience with a range of industry-leading systems
* Knowledge of relevant British Standards
