Prospero Teaching is recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to work across Primary, Secondary and SEN schools in Dorset.
You will play a key role in helping pupils manage emotional, social and mental health needs, ensuring they feel supported, safe and ready to learn.
The Role
1. Providing 1:1 and small‑group emotional wellbeing support
2. Supporting pupils with anxiety, low mood, trauma or social difficulties
3. Helping students develop coping strategies and resilience
4. Working with pastoral, SEN and safeguarding teams
5. Monitoring pupil progress and wellbeing
6. Promoting a positive, inclusive school environment
Who We’re Looking For
7. Experience in mental health, youth work, counselling, SEN or support roles
8. Calm, patient and empathetic
9. Confident managing sensitive situations
10. Ability to build trust and positive relationships
11. Strong communication and safeguarding awareness
12. DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
