Sr. Program Manager, Driver Training, OTR Programs
The goal of Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is to build a world-class last mile operation. Amazon Logistics aims to exceed customer expectations by ensuring that orders are delivered quickly, accurately, and cost-effectively, regardless of size. The Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Driver Training program prepares drivers to deliver packages safely with high quality and low cost.
The Sr. Program Manager, Driver Training (Capacity and Readiness) ensures that the North America (NA) Driver Training program meets the needs of partners, customers, and drivers. They proactively identify and address future gaps and resolve current issues swiftly.
This role specifically owns the Capacity Strategies for the AMXL org, ensuring strategic parity with existing AMZL practices to maintain the High Volume Event (HVE) experience.
Key job responsibilities
1. Understand processes, expectations, and training requirements for all driver programs.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve driver competence, safety, efficiency, and delivery quality.
3. Coordinate with teams like Global Road Safety, Fleet, Operations, Tech, and Delivery Partners to align training with workflows.
4. Work with the Business Coach team to incorporate corrective actions into coaching programs.
5. Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor training capacity and readiness.
6. Develop strategies to address capacity gaps and ensure resource availability.
7. Track the current and future states of Driver Training programs.
8. Ensure effective staffing and resource allocation for driver trainers.
9. Set the program's strategic direction and ensure execution aligns with plans.
10. Travel up to 25% as required.
Minimum qualifications
* 5+ years of program or project management experience.
* Experience using data and metrics to improve processes.
* Experience managing program strategy and communicating with senior leadership.
Preferred qualifications
* 2+ years of process improvement experience.
* Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, HR, education, or related fields.
