Adult Safeguarding Social Worker

Location: Sandwell Council House, Oldbury (2 days office-based per week)
Are you a dedicated Social Worker looking to make a meaningful impact? Sandwell Council is seeking experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Workers to join their innovative Operational Adult Safeguarding Team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a proactive service committed to ensuring that all individuals are able to live free from harm, abuse, and exploitation.
About the Role:
You will play a key role in safeguarding adults at risk by working in partnership with statutory agencies, communities, and the voluntary sector. The team focuses on delivering person-centred, strengths-based safeguarding interventions that promote independence and achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
Undertake duty responsibilities within the safeguarding team
Apply the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act in practice
Develop and coordinate outcome-focused safeguarding plans
Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
Promote a strengths-based, person-centred approach
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Experience within Adult Social Care, ideally safeguarding
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act
Ability to manage complex safeguarding cases and duty work
Additional Information:
Office presence required 2 days per week in Oldbury
Interviews scheduled early in the week commencing 2nd March
