We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company for a Welder/Fabricator to join their workshop team.
This role involves working on a range of fabrication projects, both in the workshop and occasionally on-site, producing high-quality structural steel and sheet metal components from technical drawings. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fabricate structural steel and sheet metal components from engineering drawings
2. Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
3. Operate workshop machinery including saws, guillotines, rollers, drills, and grinders
4. Ensure all work meets required quality, safety, and project specifications
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet project deadlines
6. Maintain safe working practices and follow all health & safety procedures
7. Support both workshop and occasional site-based fabrication work where required
Skills & Experience
Essential
8. 3+ years MIG and TIG welding experience
9. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Desirable
10. Forklift licence
11. CSCS card
12. Strong problem-solving skills
