SRT Marine Systems plc (SRT) is a market leader in international marine surveillance technology, headquartered in the UK, with a global customer base.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Network Engineer to design and maintain complex network servers, PC's, CCTV, and building monitoring systems for our maritime surveillance solutions. The role requires global travel and living in assigned countries with an agreed rotation period of up to 12 weeks on site and 2 weeks at home.
Responsibilities
* Configuration and deployment of networked servers, storage, network hardware and associated software packages.
* Validate installations and provide status reports.
* Configure and troubleshoot connectivity systems.
* Monitor system performance, perform troubleshooting and resolution, and implement software patches and hardware replacements.
* Support and train customer internal IT departments and technicians, enabling operational ownership of the supplied systems.
* Maintain accurate document trails of system changes and updates.
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years experience in network IT system setup and management, preferably in commercial or industrial environments.
* Professional English, spoken and written.
* Deep understanding of IT networks, server system configurations, Windows/Linux servers and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
* Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is advantageous.
* Strong understanding of IT security and data protection best practices.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
