We are looking for a highly motivated Customer Support Engineer to provide expert service and support to customers at their site. The role involves direct installation, maintenance, and repair of multi-vendor lab equipment, validation services, IQ/OQ, and service agreements. The Customer Support Engineer represents the face of PerkinElmer to the customer and aims to drive repeat purchases and long-term satisfaction through responsiveness and professionalism in all interactions.
Role responsibilities:
* Provide scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance, including warranty services, within prescribed time frames and protocols.
* Familiarize customers with instrument operation and maintenance.
* Maintain updated documentation related to dispatch, inventory, and support functions.
* Ensure data integrity through timely uploads and downloads.
* Manage company assets such as tools, test equipment, telecommunication equipment, and service parts inventory.
* Seek higher-level certification via company-sponsored training and development.
* Maintain training and compliance with health and safety, security, environmental, and operational standards.
* Coordinate daily with other Scientific Services staff across sites.
* Report scheduling issues to the local scheduler or customer to facilitate rescheduling.
* Follow all company policies and standards.
* Escalate issues or concerns promptly.

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences with 1+ years of experience OR
* HND in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences with 2+ years of experience OR
* A Level in Engineering, Technical, or Sciences with 3+ years of experience OR
* GCSE with 4+ years of experience in a technical field.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with HPLC, UPLC, LCMS, mass spectrometry, or FSC.
* Experience working with analytical equipment or in a lab environment.
* Understanding of GLP/GxP and compliance environments.
* Knowledge of laboratory safety and EHS procedures.
* Experience with CMMS databases.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
* Vendor certifications for laboratory equipment.
