Finance Payroll Manager
Division: Finance - Global Business Management
Key Relationships: Global Expense Team, Finance Leadership Team, Finance Global Business Management, Finance Business Partners, Finance Group Reporting Team, Culture & People and Other Business Users.
Job Summary:
Ownership of end-to-end payroll accounting on a global basis for Beazley. This involves processing all remuneration data in the general ledger accurately and timely, managing financial control and governance (including reconciliation & audit processes), engaging with the People & Sustainability payroll processing team, and contributing to aligning payroll processes post-Workday implementation. The role also includes managing and mentoring the Finance Payroll Analyst.
Key Requirements & Areas of Responsibility:
* Minimum 5-10 years of global payroll accounting experience with a strong background in payroll processing.
* Understanding of share schemes including Share Vesting, SIP, ISIP, SAYE & SUW; liaising with stakeholders for multiple schemes.
* Ensure the Finance Payroll Analyst has the necessary knowledge and skills.
* Maintain robust Balance Sheet reconciliation processes for payroll accounts, reviewed monthly.
* Lead payroll audit processes and explain movements effectively.
* Collaborate with expense managers to ensure alignment and efficiency.
* Own end-to-end payroll processes for month & quarter end, including control & governance frameworks.
* Act as business partner for payroll data & process issues, maximizing efficiency and accuracy.
Strategic Objectives:
* Review and develop payroll accounting capabilities to meet future organizational needs.
* Manage strategic payroll projects and local expense projects aligned with group requirements.

Qualifications and capabilities include:
* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
* Experience with payroll and remuneration transactions, including share incentives.
* Experience with month-end reporting in complex organizations.
