Location: Thornton, Sefton (L23)
Daily Rate: £150 - £220 per day (Negotiable & Weekly Pay)
Start Date: April 2026 (Following Easter Break)

We are seeking a dedicated Geography Specialist to join a friendly, community-focused secondary school right in the heart of Thornton (L23).

Key Duties:
* Plan and deliver creative Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, bringing the subject to life through contemporary case studies.
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback that drives progress and fosters a love for the subject.
* Lead and support local fieldwork, making the most of the unique Sefton coastline and urban landscapes.
* Work alongside a friendly team to develop resources and share best practices.
* Engage in the wider school community, potentially taking on form tutor responsibilities to support student well-being.
Skills & Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification with a degree in Geography or a related field.
* Subject Expertise: A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to prepare students for GCSE success.
* Classroom Management: The ability to create a focused, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere.
* Flexibility: A proactive attitude and a willingness to adapt to the specific needs of the school and its pupils.
