The RSPB is looking for a Senior Administrator to support the Yorkshire and Humber team and work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation. Senior Administrator - Yorkshire and Humber Reference: MAY (Apply online only) Location: Homebased, Yorkshire & Humber Region Salary: £25,847.00 - £27,594.00 Per Annum, Pro Rata Contract: Permanent Hours: Part-Time, 18.75 hours per week. Benefits: Holidays and Pension Working within the Yorkshire and Humber conservation team you will be the central point of contact that co-ordinates the smooth running of the day to day requirements enabling delivery of key RSPB initiatives. Working closely with the conservation team, as well as external partners and stakeholders, you will be critical to the teams success; enabling us to protect species and habitats across Yorkshire. Your key internal contacts will include UKHQ teams such as: Health and Safety, Finance, Digital Technology and Information Management. As part of RSPBs England administration team, an integral part of your role will be to contribute to the continuous professional development of this wider administrative network, both locally and more widely across RSPB. You will be expected to use your initiative to share best practice and build positive relationships with fellow administrators, to guarantee we are working in the most beneficial way possible. A typical day can include * Scheduling and organising meetings, events, and briefings for staff and volunteers * Supporting colleagues with responding to planning applications, and monitoring a shared mailbox * Managing and sharing business critical information in a compliant way through SharePoint * Acting as secretariat for key external partnerships and capturing and tracking actions * Organising and digitising monitoring data * Supporting and working collaboratively with the North England admin team, including working with regional admin to share best practice/shape ways of working * Engaging in Digital training and meetings to cascade and understand changes to systems/ways of working. The ideal candidate will be: * Organised and able to prioritise tasks * Able to work across multiple complex and busy diaries * Confident using Microsoft365 including OneDrive and SharePoint * Confident organising and managing data * Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, including volunteers * Able to organise meetings and events, from small up to very large, and coordinate all aspects of the meeting or event logistics * Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately, including an understanding of GDPR and cyber security * Able to take meeting notes and minutes clearly and concisely * Capable of managing and reporting financial information * Aware of current conservation issues and priorities * The area team you'll be supporting includes paid staff and volunteers, so experience of working with volunteers is beneficial * If this sounds like you, and you’d like to play a key role in supporting the Yorkshire and Humber team to save nature, we would love to hear from you.
