Together we are Trusted to Serve Scotland. Scottish Water is a leading utility company committed to delivering clean and safe water services to the people of Scotland. We pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and equipment performance. To support our mission, we are looking for a dedicated Planned Maintenance Technical Support Advisor to join our E&M team. What youâll do We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation) equipment across Scottish Water. You will oversee the delivery of Maintenance Scheduled Tasks (MSTs), Follow-on Work (FOW) and the reactive word orders raised in relation the Scottish Waters CSO Event Duration Monitors (EDMâS), ensuring they are carried out efficiently, safely, and in line with compliance standards. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, contractor engagement, and continuous improvement of our maintenance operations. What youâll need Weâre looking for someone whoâs proactive, organised, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality work. Ideally, youâll have experience in a similar role, but more importantly, you'll bring a strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and a willingness to learn. You should have great communication skills and enjoy working with othersâwhether thatâs internal teams or external contractors. A good eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once will help you stay on top of work orders, maintenance activities, and compliance requirements. If youâre familiar with Scottish Waterâs maintenance strategy or have experience with MEICA equipment, thatâs a bonus. Youâll need to be comfortable supporting projects from start to finish, resolving issues as they arise, and contributing to continuous improvement in our processes. Above all, weâre looking for someone who takes safety seriously, supports others, and brings a collaborative mindset to everything they do. You'll also need to hold a recognised trade qualification such as in electrical, mechanical, or a similar discipline to support the technical aspects of the role. Looking out for you⯠While the work we do is important, we know itâs not the only thing that matters. Thatâs why we make sure you have everything you need to find a good work-life balance.⯠Youâll get plenty of time to recharge with 38 days of holiday every year (including public holidays). And you can even buy five more if you need a little extra time. You can also take paid time off to volunteer in your community.⯠â¯When it comes to major life events we have family-friendly policies around adoption, maternity, and parental leave. And for the everyday? We embrace flexible working.â¯â¯ For your future, thereâs our pension (the âknow-what-youâll-get-when-you-retireâ kind), as well as life assurance.â¯â¯ As for some nice extras? You can expect an annual company bonus. Not to mention access to SW Splash â handy rewards that can save you money on holidays, bills, and shopping.⯠The not-so-small print ⯠This role will be a Grade 6. If youâre new to Scottish Water, youâll join us on a starting salary of £33,560. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of £44,140. If youâre interested in this role â or know someone else who might be - weâll be accepting applications until midnight on 15th May. Job offers at Scottish Water are conditional, and will be confirmed on completion of our pre-employment screening, e.g. referencing, criminal record checks, license checks, etc. Screening is conducted on our behalf by a third party and must be completed before your start date. Donât worry - weâll only start these checks once youâve accepted an offer. A few final things worth knowing⦠ Research shows that some people avoid applying for jobs unless they can meet every single criteria. If youâre interested in this job, but donât tick all the boxes, apply anyway! We hardly ever hire people who can do every part of a job from Day One. Everyone has a learning curve. So donât rule yourself out!  Let us know if there are any changes we can make to our recruitment process to help you perform at your best. Lots of our people have disabilities or neurodiverse conditions (including some of our recruiters!). We're also aware that some people might be experiencing temporary challenges because of life events, like menopause. Weâre very used to making adjustments, so please donât be afraid to ask.  As part of our commitment to developing a flourishing Scotland, itâs important that all our employees are Scottish taxpayers. If you join us, your home address will need to be in Scotland. If you donât already live here, you'll need to commit to moving here within your first three months.  Finally (finally!), candidates who havenât submitted an application in the last 12 months will have their records removed from our recruitment database. You wonât need to do anything. Your data will be automatically deleted. Weâre here to help. Ask us anything at SWRecruitment@ScottishWater.co.uk Â
