Purpose of the role - An Accounts Assistant provides support to the accounting and finance department by performing various administrative and clerical duties related to financial transactions, records, and processes. Key Responsibilities - Process accounts and receivable transactions Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies Assist with month-end closing procedures Process employee expense reports and reimbursements Prepare and issue invoices to customers Follow up on outstanding payments and assist with collections Support budget preparation and financial reporting Respond to basic accounting queries from internal stakeholders Transaction Accuracy: Ensure all financial transactions are processed correctly and in a timely manner Data Integrity: Maintain accurate and complete financial records Compliance: Adhere to established accounting procedures and financial regulations Efficiency: Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial information Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices Strong attention to detail & organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent communication skills AAT learner or qualified by experience
