Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to join our educational team to teach french to young students ranging from year 5 to year 8 as preparation for GCSE. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tutoring or teaching, with experience working with children, including those with special educational needs. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively engage students and facilitate their learning.
Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs
* Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
* Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
* Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support students with special educational needs
Experience
* Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, preferably in a formal educational setting
* Experience working with children, particularly those requiring additional support
* Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students and their families
* A patient and encouraging approach to teaching that inspires confidence in students
* proficiency in French
* GCSE/ Alevel in french would be ideal but necessary
Pay: £12.50-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 3 per week
