Main duties of the job
In this pivotal role, you will:
* Coordinate critical resources: Oversee vehicles, personnel, and treatment centre operations to deliver timely and effective patient care.
* Optimise patient flow and service delivery: Strategically manage home visit requests and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
* Make real-time decisions: Use live data to track vehicle locations, adapt to unforeseen challenges, and keep patient care running smoothly.
* Foster teamwork and compliance: Work closely with our Unscheduled Care Service Management team to maintain high standards of safety, regulatory adherence, and patient satisfaction.
* Support and inspire your team: Mentor, train, and motivate staff, ensuring strong communication and collaboration, especially during high-pressure periods.
What We're Looking For:
* Expert knowledge of NHS 111, Out of Hours, and Urgent Care services
* Experience in a Treatment Centre setting, and confidence using MS Office
* Strong leadership with problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
* Excellent communicator with a compassionate, resilient, and adaptable mindset
* Flexible availability to cover evenings, nights, and Bank Holidays as needed

Experience and knowledge
Essential criteria
* Thorough understanding of OOH operational roles, ability to undertake these when necessary (E.g.Driver/ Receptionist/ Central Booker/Comfort Caller/UTC Receptionist/Etc.)
* Knowledge of the NHS 111 Service, Out of Hours Service and other Urgent Care Services
* Well developed IT and keyboard skills with confidence using MS Office applications.
* Experience in a customer/patient facing role.
* Previous experience in a Treatment Centre based environment highly desirable
* Ability to manage and motivate people at various levels of the organisation, both in person and remotely
* Excellent communication and reporting skills both verbal and written.
* Strong organisational and delegatory skills. The confidence to take appropriate leadership decisions in real time
* Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
* Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
* Excellent role model and collaborator
* Ability to work flexibly during the Out of Hours period to work evenings, nights and Bank Holidays
