Global Employment Advisor – Human Resources, Culture and Assurance
This full‑time role is available immediately on a fixed‑term basis covering maternity leave until 31 December 2028.
Starting salary: £33,951 to £39,906 on Grade E, dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.
Hybrid working is offered – some time on campus and some from home.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with the HR team and wider organization to ensure consistency of practice in HR Global Employment procedures and processes.
* Act as the first point of contact for professional Global Employment advice and support internal upskilling on overseas employment matters.
* Complete due‑diligence reports, assess feasibility, risks, costs and timescales of the University’s Global Employment projects, and recommend the best course of action.
* Provide support to the Global Employment Manager on transformation and development projects as required.
About You
We are looking for people with:
* Recent successful experience as a Global Mobility professional or in a technical tax advisory team.
* Strong understanding of cross‑border tax and social security rules, including double‑tax treaties, A1 certificates, totalisation agreements and residency considerations.
* Experience coordinating external mobility providers such as tax advisors, immigration lawyers and payroll agents.
* The ability to quickly learn new skills, be resilient and adapt to a complex environment.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly communicate complex concepts, transfer knowledge and build positive working relationships.
