About the role
Benefact Group is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Consultant to join our Gloucester office.
You will play a critical role in safeguarding the organisation's digital assets by engaging with a wide array of business functions to provide security consultancy, vulnerability management and security governance. In this role you will engage with key stakeholders of the business, articulate the real‑world cyber security risks associated and develop solutions that align with security and project requirements. You will work with a modern technology stack with a focus on cloud technologies, and as the Senior Cyber Security Consultant you will provide mentorship to junior members of the team regarding strategic guidance as well as technical expertise. What you’ll be doing
* Provide subject‑matter expertise for internal projects and stakeholders, identifying risks and advising on the correct approach to mitigate those risks.
* Responsible for Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing, managing outputs from internal tooling and external vendors to prioritise remediation and ensure the identified risks are mitigated.
* Support the development and implementation of ICT Security policies, standards, procedures and guidance, and manage the process for documenting and reporting policy exceptions.
* Lead the delivery of Cyber Security support to the Group Procurement function, overseeing and, in some cases, undertaking detailed third‑party due diligence processes.
* Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, fostering an inclusive, supportive and engaged learning environment, and contribute to a high‑performing, professional Security Team.
What you’ll need to have
* Proven experience providing Cyber Security Analyst services.
* Strong understanding of enterprise ICT and security principles.
* Strong understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies.
* Understanding of the CI/CD process and security integrations.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
What makes you stand out
* Degree‑level qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
* Audit experience (e.g., ISO 9001/27001) is desirable.
