Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to lead activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children in various play activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and learning.
* Foster a positive environment where children can develop social skills and build friendships.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to provide updates on children's progress and any concerns.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
* Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.
* Assist in the management of daily routines, including meal times and transitions between activities.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting or nursery environment is essential.
* A background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play and learning experiences.

Pay: £12.25 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 – 25 per week
