One of our prestigious clients is seeking a highly skilled Payment Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and future-ready payment systems for a fast-growing FinTech company.
This role will work closely with engineering, compliance, and product teams to architect end-to-end payment solutions, including card processing, digital wallets, real-time payments, and cross-border transactions.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing enterprise-grade payment infrastructures and integrating open banking, APIs, and third-party payment providers.
Job Responsibilities
* Design and oversee architecture of digital payment solutions and platforms
* Integrate real-time payment rails (Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT, ACH)
* Collaborate with product and development teams to deliver API-based payment services
* Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, PSD2, AML, and other regulations
* Develop solution blueprints, data flow diagrams, and integration frameworks
* Select and manage third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay)
* Drive scalability, availability, and security in all payment solution designs
* Troubleshoot and resolve architecture-related challenges across systems
* Stay current with emerging trends in FinTech, blockchain, and digital finance
Requirements
Required Skills
* Deep knowledge of digital payment ecosystems, architectures, and technologies
* Expertise in payment gateway integration, tokenisation, and fraud detection systems
* Strong understanding of ISO 20022, EMV, NFC, and 3D Secure protocols
* Familiarity with cloud-native architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* Ability to document and present technical concepts to stakeholders clearly
Desired Skills
* Experience with real-time payment systems and blockchain-based solutions
* Hands-on coding experience with Java, Python, or Node.js
* TOGAF or AWS Solution Architect certification preferred
* Knowledge of financial data orchestration and embedded finance architectures
