About the Role As a Pupil Support Worker, you'll work side-by-side with teachers and pupils to build a calm, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where students can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.You’ll: Provide individual and small group support in lessons across a range of subjects Help implement tailored educational programmes and behaviour plans Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive relationships and self-belief Prepare learning materials and resources to bring lessons to life Accompany pupils and staff on educational visits and enrichment activities Occasionally support with transporting pupils (e.g. after detentions or school trips) Keep clear records of student progress and wellbeing, contributing to a holistic picture of each learner What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who: Has Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) Has a calm, patient and caring approach—especially in challenging moments Loves working with young people and is passionate about making learning accessible for everyone Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (ideal but not essential) Can work as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative Believes in the potential of every student—and won’t give up on them About us Belmont Primary School is an Independent School which offers boys aged between 5 – 11 years who have Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenged and additional complex behaviours to access a tailored education that suits their needs.We pride ourselves in steering pupils in the right direction, nurturing aspiration to progress them both academically and socially to encourage them to take pride in their achievements.
