Your impact
You’re a Senior or Principal Engineer with a strong foundation in drainage design and a passion for digital delivery. You bring extensive experience in using Civil 3D to produce accurate and intelligent 3D and BIM models across all project stages. You’re confident in your ability to lead BIM practices within a multidisciplinary team and are ready to take on a strategic role in shaping the future of drainage modelling across Jacobs’ UK infrastructure projects.
You’re a natural collaborator, able to work across multiple offices and teams, and you’re comfortable delivering training, supporting junior engineers, and being the go-to expert for Civil 3D queries. You understand the importance of quality, innovation, and client satisfaction, and you’re excited to contribute to award-winning projects like HS2.
You’ll be based in any of our UK offices, with flexibility to work remotely. This role includes a 6-month sprint to map 3D modelling capability across our UK workload pipeline and will position you as the first point of contact for AutoDesk Civil 3D or Bentley products related support within the drainage team.

As Drainage BIM Lead, you’ll support the Drainage Discipline Lead and collaborate with engineers across the UK and globally. You’ll play a key role in developing our 3D modelling capability, ensuring accuracy and completeness of BIM deliverables, and helping shape the future of digital drainage design at Jacobs.

Here's what you'll need
* A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartership
* Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and BIM modelling across project stages
* Proficiency in drainage modelling software and tools & experience with InfoDrainage (Autodesk) and Causeway Flow
* Experience delivering drainage designs for transportation and infrastructure projects
* Thorough understanding of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, SuDS Manual, and other relevant standards
* Proficiency in drainage modelling software and tools
* Working knowledge of health and safety legislation
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust across teams and with clients
