At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for passionate and committed Band 4 Senior maternity support workers (MSW) to join our substance misuse and safeguarding team.
Level 4 MSWs support the delivery of integrated maternity services to women and their families during pregnancy, labour and the postnatal period. The role holder will liaise with a number of community and hospital-based services to enhance the service offered to women and their families through the direct delivery of care and as a point of contact for support or signposting.
Main duties of the job
Level 4 Maternity Support Worker utilises enhanced skills across the range of maternity services to support specialist and multidisciplinary teams including, but not limited to: midwives, health visitors, safeguarding lead nurses, mental health nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, general practitioners, prison officers and other key and peer-support workers.
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths Grades A-C, Levels 4-9, Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
* GCSE English Grades A-C, Levels 4-9, Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent
* Care Certificate
* FDSci Health and Social care (Midwifery pathway)
Knowledge and skills
* Ability to work autonomously and be accountable for own actions
* Excellent written and communication skills

Salary: £28,392 to £31,157 a yearper annum, pro rata
