LCV/Van TechnicianLocation: BirminghamSalary: £50,000Job Type: PermanentJob OverviewWe are looking for a skilled and motivated LCV/Van Technician to join our workshop team. The role involves carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) to ensure maximum reliability, safety, and compliance.The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on LCVs /VansCarry out vehicle inspections and safety checks in line with DVSA standardsDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faultsComplete MOT preparation work and ensure vehicles meet compliance requirementsConduct road testing to confirm repairs and fault resolutionUse diagnostic equipment and software to identify faults accuratelyMaintain accurate job cards, service records, and inspection reportsWork collaboratively with workshop staff to meet deadlines and targetsEnsure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulationsKeep the workshop clean, organised, and safeKey Skills & ExperienceProven experience as an LCV/Van Technician / Vehicle TechnicianStrong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing, and diagnosticsExperience with electrical systems and fault findingAbility to work efficiently under pressureGood teamwork and communication skillsExperience in a workshop environmentQualifications & RequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)Full UK Driving LicenceExperience using diagnostic tools and softwareMOT Tester licence (desirable)IMI or City & Guilds qualifications (advantageous)Desirable ExperienceExperience working with fleet or commercial vehiclesKnowledge of hybrid and electric LCVsPrevious dealership or fleet workshop experienceWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryOvertime opportunitiesOngoing training and developmentPension schemeSupportive team environmentCareer progression opportunitiesTo apply for this LCV/Van Technician role, please submit your CV via this advert or contact (url removed) or (phone number removed)
