Our client are looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term basis to support the business through an important period of change.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified Accountant looking to step into a more commercially focused role, with real exposure to senior stakeholders across the operation.
The Role
Sitting within a small, close-knit finance team, you'll take ownership of:
1. Acting as a true Finance Business Partner to operational stakeholders
2. Supporting and challenging business units on performance, cost control and opportunities
3. Production of monthly management accounts
4. Providing insightful analysis to aid decision-making
5. Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes
6. Supporting the business through ongoing systems change
While there is a technical element (month-end), the focus is very much on commercial value-add and stakeholder engagement.
The Person
This role is ideally suited to someone who:
7. Is fully qualified (ICAS / ACCA / CIMA)
8. Comes from an Accounting background but is eager to step up into a more commercial role
9. Is confident engaging with stakeholders and can challenge and add value
10. Can move beyond pure reporting and bring ideas, insight and commercial thinking
11. Is keen to be visible in the business and build relationships on-site
12. You don't need to be a polished FBP already-but you must have the potential and appetite to develop into one.

13. 12-month FTC Target start date ASAP (flexible, but ideally before end of August)
14. Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
15. Location: Glasgow
16. Working pattern: Ideally 4 days on site (flex to 3 for the right individual)
