Estates and Facilities Directorate Security Department Access and Security Officer (Library) Ref: GG715 Salary on appointment will be £28,600 per annum with an annual increment up to £30,231 per annum. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Access and Security Officer (Library) to join the Security Department. Key duties of the role include providing an excellent 24/7 front of house reception service providing information and advice or referring on as appropriate. You will have substantial recent experience of working in a similar security environment and experience working with a diverse range of backgrounds. You will need excellent customer care skills and be able to promote the core values of the University. The ability to remain calm and professional and be sensitive to the needs and views of others is essential. This full-time post is available from 14 April 2026 on an indefinite basis. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
