People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coalville, East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with a salary of £32,000 per annum after successful completion of 13 weeks. This role would suit candidates with experience as a Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Multi-drop Driver or Delivery Driver. Shifts • Monday to Friday • 06:00 – 15:00 Rates of Pay • £15.75 per hour • Temp-to-perm opportunity • Following successful completion of 13 weeks, drivers will transfer onto a permanent contract with a salary of £32,000 per annum Benefits As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Temp-to-perm opportunity • £32,000 permanent salary after 13 weeks • Ongoing work • Weekly pay • Training provided • Immediate starts available Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: • Completing RDC and brewery deliveries using curtain-side vehicles • Minimal handball involved • Operating and driving Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle checks • Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before transportation • Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers • Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues promptly • Supporting loading and unloading duties where required • Heavy lifting may be involved depending on deliveries Essential Skills To be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C Licence • Minimum 12 months' experience driving Category C vehicles • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements • No major endorsement codes • Good level of spoken and written English • Excellent timekeeping and reliability • Good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations • Strong communication skills • Physically fit due to the nature of the role Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience • Previous RDC or brewery delivery experience • Multi-drop delivery experience advantageous Training Provided • Industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver, please apply today with your CV or contact our recruitment team for further information. xxuwjjq People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.
