RPS Water Operations requires additional Assistant Drainage Operatives to join our waste-water network team based out of Clevedon. Working with waste-water operations, you will be part of a 3-person site survey crew gathering flow data and other information across above and below-ground waste-water assets. Ensuring safe systems of work, which often involves safe entry into confined spaces and working on the highway, you will safeguard the public and the crew’s wellbeing during survey operations. No previous water industry experience is necessary as training will be provided.
This is a permanent role generally working 40 hours Monday to Friday, based from our Clevedon office with an immediate start. Occasional night shifts and work away from home may be required depending on contracts and survey demands.
About The Team
The RPS Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry-leading services to the UK Water Industry, supporting Water Networks, Drainage, Surveying, Leakage Consultancy, Water Resources, and Efficiency. The team analyzes complex data to provide pragmatic solutions, including reducing water leakage and preventing flooding and pollution.
Our Wastewater Operations teams consist of 3-person site survey crews supporting regional water companies by gathering data from above and below-ground wastewater assets, including reservoirs, dams, highways, and water treatment plants.

Your Responsibilities
* Ensuring safety for survey operatives and the public
* Moving and handling heavy manhole covers
* Following instructions from your crew leader
* Monitoring team safety during underground work
* Working at height and within confined spaces

Qualifications
* Full UK driving license
* CSCS card (desirable)
Health and Safety
This role may involve moving heavy items, working in all weather conditions (including night work), confined spaces, and on highways. Mandatory drug and alcohol testing, as well as a DBS check, will be conducted.
