Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a forward–thinking, global engineering consultancy? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading multidisciplinary design team working on some of the UK's most innovative and sustainable building projects.
Overview
The Role and responsibilities are focused on delivering electrical design solutions as part of a Building Services team across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, science & research, and residential developments.
Responsibilities
* Producing detailed electrical building services designs (LV systems, lighting, fire alarms, power distribution, etc.)
* Collaborating closely with mechanical and sustainability engineers to deliver coordinated designs
* Contributing to concept, schematic and detailed design stages
* Preparing drawings, specifications, and technical reports
* Liaising directly with clients, architects, and contractors
* Supporting the delivery of projects from feasibility through to construction
About You
My client is looking for someone with a passion for innovative and sustainable design, who enjoys working in a collaborative, team–based environment.
* A degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
* Proven experience in electrical building services design
* Proficiency with relevant design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux)
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Working knowledge of British Standards and building regulations
* Progress towards, or ambition to achieve, Chartered Engineer status (CEng)
