Facilities Manager
Location: Corsham, Wiltshire (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
Contract: 12 month contract
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: £331.54 per day PAYE / £450 per day Umbrella
About the Role:
This role plays a key part in delivering facilities management services across a secure estate, supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic objectives. The Facilities Manager will focus on optimising property usage, ensuring compliance, and managing both hard and soft FM services through effective contract and supplier oversight.
The role requires close collaboration with the Head of Establishment (HoE) to ensure estate operations align with strategic priorities while maintaining high standards of safety, security, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Head of Establishment (HoE) in fulfilling obligations across the estate
Contribute to the delivery of the strategic real estate portfolio plan, ensuring operational and tactical FM services are delivered effectively
Ensure FM activities align with wider organisational and strategic priorities
Raise, submit, and monitor Statements of Need for site works; track delivery progress
Oversee and support both hard and soft FM services, including supplier and contract management
Maintain strong working relationships with site security, and security contractors
Ensure compliance with all security regulations and protocols
Manage and maintain Health & Safety documentation, policies, and compliance across the site
Provide support on operational, project, and reactive FM requirements
Essential skills and experience:
Proven experience in Facilities Management (Hard & Soft FM)
Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety (IOSH or equivalent desirable baseline)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience operating within defence, assurance, or governance environments
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a secure, highly regulated environment
NEBOSH qualification
Experience working with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO)
Experience with planning application processes
Previous experience in Defence FM environments
Proximity to site for responsive/reactive tasking
