Overview
Assembly Technician role at Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd. This position is based at our Barnstaple site and requires onsite work 5 days a week.
Base pay range
The salary for this role is up to £28k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide assembly and machining support to Production and Engineering teams in a multi-skilled production environment.
* Work closely with Wiring Technicians, Test Technicians and Engineers to ensure products are delivered on time and to high quality standards.
* Offer training support for company apprentices to gain experience with machine tools, promote shop health and safety, and instill good housekeeping culture.
* Follow instructions to create full assemblies using a mix of electrical and mechanical assembly skills.
* Utilise fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to handle small parts and perform precise tasks.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other team members; contribute to problem-solving to keep the assembly process running smoothly.
* Maintain attention to detail with minimum supervision.
