Job Title: Drainage Technician IMMEDIATE START FOR SUITABLE CANDIDATE Location: Glasgow Area. Applicant must live in the Glasgow area to be successfull. Salary: £15 per hour (increasing to £17 per hour after a 3-month probation period) About Us: We are a small, family-run business based in East Kilbride, experiencing rapid growth in the drainage industry. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service and are looking for a hardworking, articulate, and honest Drainage Technician to join our team as we expand. We have a number of contracts and a number of loyal repeat customers who expect a high level of customer service and rapid response to work orders sent over. Job Overview: The Drainage Technician will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving drainage issues, performing emergency call-outs, and conducting various drainage-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the drainage industry and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Clear blocked drains, toilets, stackpipes, showers, sinks, manholes, and respond to plumbing emergencies. Conduct CCTV drainage surveys and excavation works. Drains are located underground so will be expected to be physically fit to carry out manual excavation works. Larger jobs we use excavators. Perform emergency plumbing works related to burst pipes and trace and access leaks within properties. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery. Maintain and operate drainage equipment safely and effectively. Meet at the office by 8 AM for daily briefings, with occasional direct travel to job sites. Qualifications: Previous experience in the drainage industry is mandatory. In-depth knowledge of drainage systems and related issues. In depth knowledge of jetting units and CCTV Camera equipment. Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks such as digging, installing drains, and carrying equipment. Ability to work in multi-storey buildings and varied environments. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (9-hour workday). Paid for whole 9 hours. Overtime and weekend work available on demand. 28days holiday a year. You may be required to work public/bank holdays unless these are booked and approved annual leave. The only dates that are generally not scheduled for work are: Christmas Day/Boxing day and New Years day/January 2nd. However, as we operate on a rota system there may be occasions when flexibility is required. Benefits: Work phone, van, uniform, and tools provided.
