The school is seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stage 2 and deliver targeted interventions to help pupils reach their full potential.
The Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support teaching and learning across KS2 classes, providing classroom cover when needed
* Deliver small-group and one-to-one intervention sessions to raise attainment and confidence
* Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
* Promote independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
* Support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) where required
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting its values and routines
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
* Caring, patient, and reliable
* Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in KS2
* Experienced in a classroom or school setting (a Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable)
* Confident leading intervention groups or one-to-one sessions
* Adaptable and able to support pupils with a range of learning needs
* Familiar with KS2 curriculum content and effective learning strategies
* Experienced in supporting children with ALN (personal or professional experience valued)
Requirements
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* References covering the last 24 months
* Previous classroom or childcare experience
