A forward-thinking secondary school in Barking and Dagenham is looking for a reliable and motivated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This full-time, long-term position is a great opportunity for someone passionate about supporting teenagers in their learning journey and gaining valuable experience in education.
Your role will include:
Providing classroom support across KS3 and KS4 in a range of subjects
Assisting students with learning tasks, including those with additional needs
Helping manage behaviour in line with school policy
Working 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce learning objectives
Collaborating with teaching staff to deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
You’ll need to have:
Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally in a school or youth environment
Confidence working with teenagers in both classroom and small-group settings
Strong communication skills and a positive, adaptable approach
A genuine interest in supporting young people academically and emotionally

This role includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay and is offered on a temporary basis, with potential for long-term or permanent opportunities.
