Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced payroll professional to join a small payroll team based just outside the city centre on an interim basis, working 2‑3 days a week from the office.
Responsibilities
* Handle end‑to‑end payroll processing for a large payroll, including calculating stoppages, HMRC deductions, and ensuring accuracy.
* Conduct quality checks, sense‑check and process payroll to a high standard of detail.
* Resolve payroll queries and investigations, providing timely and accurate responses.
* Collaborate with a close‑knit team to support all payroll‑related work as needed.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a payroll professional.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Approachable, confident, and empathetic communication style.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
Working Conditions
Interim role via umbrella or limited company, with office attendance of 2‑3 days per week.
