OVERVIEW
We are looking for a full time Venue Manager to lead an exciting new venue in Hull City Centre.
Currently operating late nights, the venue plans to expand its opening hours to include other evenings, as well as a daytime food offering.
We are looking for a manager with a proven track record and solid experience in nightlife, hospitality and events.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be working with the Directors and existing management team to run the venue, shape the team, to make sure our nights are safe and of high quality. The new venue manager will spearhead opening new trading periods, including introducing an excellent food offering.
The role will entail:
· Overall responsibility for running the venue
· Leading the junior team including developing assistant manager and supervisors
· Lead the in house security team alongside the head door
· Recruitment, staff training, rotas
· Stock management and control
· Contributing to events ideas, and marketing development alongside Directors
· Upholding all venue standards and ensuing compliance with all statutory requirements (licensing, health and safety, EHO etc)
· Liaison with statutory authorities
· Managing all end of shift paperwork with other management team members
· Troubleshooting
· Leading the provision of the best customer service standards
· Cost control, ensuring profitability and maintenance of appropriate Gross Profit margins
· Leading venue atmospherics and ensuring correct entertainment in place and to a high standard
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The person we are looking for will have:
· A strong background in hospitality, nightlife and events.
· Experience in food venues
· Confidence in leadership, and be cool under pressure
· Strong leadership skills, being firm but fair and approachable
· Excellent IT skills
· Organisation skills, being able to prioritise workload
· A proactive approach and be a problem solver
· A passion for music, nightlife and creating a fun and engaging atmosphere
· A personal license essential, SIA badge desirable or a willingness to obtain it
· Full UK Driving License
