Key Responsibilities of the SEN TA: Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN. Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs. Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. Support with personal care where required. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development. Requirements for the SEN TA role: Experience working with children with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties). Strong communication and teamwork skills. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach. An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
