Adi Group Services Health and Safety Officer
About the Role
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will work directly with the adi Automotive / Group Service Directors, supporting them in the H&S and legislative compliance of the business.
Specifically, you will:
1. Help create and deliver the Health and Safety plan for the business; working within Group guidelines and in co-ordination with the Managing Director's you will help create and deliver the H&S continuous improvement plan for the Company.
2. Create and support the delivery of key focus areas for each division.
3. Support the engineering teams in accident investigations and offer advice and guidance on control measures.
4. Support and develop a greater H&S awareness and culture within the business, ensuring our sites and workshops are maintaining H&S at the forefront of our activities.
5. Manage and facilitate our training requirements and validations; supporting and co-ordination of or delivering any additional training required by the teams
6. Carry out monthly workshop inspections and help to manage any remedial requirements.
7. Work closely with the QHSE administrator to ensure records are kept and maintained for building logs and personnel training.
About You
We would like to hear from you if you have:
8. Experience in a similar role within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
9. Good understanding of best practice in respect of H&S management.
10. Sound judgement and decision-making capabilities
11. Strong interpersonal skills
12. Experience of building strong relationships both internal and external stakeholders
13. Experience of customer and stakeholder Management
14. To demonstrate excellent Health and Safety Awareness
15. To understand and create Method Statements and Risk Assessments using best practice guidelines and controls.
16. Excellent COSHH awareness and be able to create relevant COSHH assessments from safety data sheets.
17. The knowledge to perform detailed accident investigations and support implementation of any revised controls measures.
18. To be able to review and understand manual handling tasks and ensure ergonomic compliance.
